FREE - The Forum of Real Economic Emancipation has launched

The world is on fire, and economics is fanning the flames.

Soaring inequality, endless wars, climate collapse, and profit-driven healthcare aren’t accidents. They’re designed. And we’re told change isn’t possible because “good economics” won’t allow it.

But what if economics itself is the problem?

FREE: the Forum for Real Economic Emancipation was born out of a simple belief:

  • Economic systems should serve people, not the other way around.
  • We’re building a space where critical thought meets public learning, where research doesn’t live in ivory towers but in conversation with everyday struggles.

Why FREE Exists

The economy is not a distant object that only experts model. It’s us: our jobs, our rent, our care, work, and our futures.

Policies maintain the current system, keeping power in the hands of a few. We’re here to take that power back.

What We’re Building

FREE works on five interconnected fronts:

✅ Public education & community forums

✅ Global academic partnerships

✅ Digital curriculum for public learning

✅ Grounded knowledge hubs in local communities

✅ Direct policy engagement

We’ve a big year ahead, with public events, research collaborations, and digital tools for collective action. The work is urgent, and it’s possible.

One key focus of our mission is to explore how the innovations of Web3, AI, and Quantum Computing can help to sustain the natural world and build greater efficiencies to grow our shared prosperity. We believe in creating a collaborative, inclusive, and sustainable community to explore innovative solutions. Solutions that will contribute to achieving bioregional and global prosperity by integrating our three interconnected worlds: the natural world, the human-made physical world, and emerging technologies.

Better Worlds seeks to explore alternative viewpoints through media, international conferences, symposia, essays and hack-a-thons that encourage and support the development of innovative solutions.
